Brianna Cofield is an audio engineer, producer, and pianist based in New York. She realizes that people’s daily experiences are influenced by sound, which is why she strives to provide top-quality audio through her knowledge of recording, mixing, and mastering. 

 

A classically trained pianist since the age of 4, Brianna’s passion for music began long before she became an audio engineer. She attended H.B. Ward BOCES technical school during her senior year of high school, where she learned the fundamentals of audio and studio recording, leading her to claim second place in the prestigious 2018 SkillsUSA national competition in audio/radio production. Brianna believes it was through technical school that she learned she had an ear for music and a talent for recording and producing, and it inspired her to pursue a degree in Sound Recording Technology from Syracuse University.

 

While attending Syracuse University, Brianna gained hands-on experience in live sound engineering, record production, studio management, and audio repair. She is proficient in multiple DAWs, including Pro Tools.
 

Today, Brianna works as an engineer at The Bridge Studio in Brooklyn. She also works as a live sound engineer with Quantum Sound Systems in Montauk.  With Quantum, she sets up for venues such as the Surf Lodge, Calissa's, and other private venues in Montauk and East Hampton.  In addition, she is in charge of the shop for Quantum, making cables and keeping track of inventory during the summer.  Meanwhile, Brianna works as a stagehand at the Apollo Theater in Harlem.   

 

As an engineer, her goal is to understand all types of genres and mediums for recording. Brianna also reads every day about the latest audio gear to keep up with the ever-changing nature of technology.  As a woman in the recording industry, she aspires to become a better engineer each day, as she wants to be a great representation for other young women in the field.

 

When she is not recording or mixing, she can be found reading (mostly about history), crocheting, painting, and trying new cuisines.
